So this morning I went about my usual Saturday routine...get up early and head to Weight Watchers, stop at Dunkin's for a decaf coffee, do groceries, ect...! Well when I went to WW this morning, I was debating on telling anyone about my surgery. I stepped on the scale and the lady who weighed me in said "Wow, great job Mandy, down 10lbs this week". I had a smirk on my face said "Thank you", and walked away. I did let my leader know about my surgery, and I wanted my little rewards too! I need that instant gratification, so I got my 10% award and a few 5 lb stars. I have never reached my 10% goal before. I felt accomplished! For the first time in about 5 yrs I am in the 230's. I haven't been that weight since I had my son. After he was born I got comfortable with my husband and just continued to gain.
I was talking with a girl I work with (upper management my boss's boss), and she said she was so happy for me and knew I would be extremely successful because I have put so much time into what "I needed to do" and she can't wait to see the end results. I can't wait either, but it will be a long time before I reach goal.
Tonight I have my daughter's Secret Santa's slumber party, I will have a total of 6 girls for the night...Pizza, cookie making and decorating, crafts, presents, singing Christms songs and some Wii dancing. This will be the 3rd major slumber party we have had. My oldest daughter's 10th birthday, Halloween, and now Christmas. I really love having the girls over, and I believe it really helps my oldest self esteem!
I am a mother of 3 wonderful children, Hannah 10, Natasha 9, and Joshua 5. My kids are my world! A major reason I chose to have surgery is so I can be a fit mom, running and playing with the kids. Joshua plays soccer and baseball and I am so short of breath and out of shape to help him learn to play! I need to be in better health. My husband is all about 130lbs soakin wet. Dario, is an amazing man and I am so greatful for him. He has been such a support when I need him and through this whole process. Hugging me and kissing me when I am down and upset. Comforting me when needed. I love him dearly more and more each day!
Did I mention I have the greatest mother in the world. My mom has been my solid support since "FOREVER"!!! I live upstairs from her and she has always been there and done for me and my children. Mom helps me every year with Christmas and getting what the kids want. My mom is the greatest!
My best friend in the whole wide world Trina, the owl, we may not see each other often, even though we live right down the street from each other. But if I need her...she is only a phone call away! 22 years of SOLID friendship, is really hard to come by. I love her and her grinch of a husband! They are great people and I am lucky to have them in my life!
I love all the people in my life at the moment and I am so thankful everyday for them! If it was not for them, I would not be the person I am today and Nothing will ever change that!
I have my 1st post op appointment Monday and Tuesday will be the Nutritionst! I'll let you know how they go!
I told you I was all over the place today!!!
Till next time!
~Mandy
